U.S. EMBASSY CAUTIONS ON SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE (SMS)

The United States Embassy has become aware that the SMS system in Kenya is being used to broadcast fabricated policy messages attributed to the United States Government.

All official U.S. Government and Embassy information is communicated through traditional public media or posted on official U.S. Government websites.  Any messages relating to U.S. policy received via SMS should be disregarded.
